Hey Champs! Struggling with connecting your WhatsApp Business account to Social Champ? We have your back. This guide helps you with it. By linking your WhatsApp account, your team will be able to efficiently manage and respond to WhatsApp messages alongside your other social media accounts, all within Engage.

Follow the steps below to get started.

Verification of the Meta Business Account

To connect WhatsApp to Social Champ, you’ll need a verified business account and administrator access in Meta Business Manager. If you need to create or verify your business account, please refer to the following Meta help articles:

Add a WhatsApp Account to Social Champ

Once you’ve confirmed that your Meta business account is verified, the phone number is linked to a business account and not added to any other app,  you can proceed to connect your WhatsApp Business account by following these steps in Social Champ:

  1. Go to your Manage Account under the settings tab from the left panel.
  2. Click on the ”Add New Social Account” button.
  3. Here, choose WhatsApp Business.
  4. Sign in with your Meta Business Manager administrator credentials.
  5. Follow the prompts to connect the WhatsApp Business accounts you want to connect to Social Champ.

  6. The WhatsApp Business account has been successfully added to your Social Champ account.

Access the WhatsApp Business account in Engage

  1. Navigate to the Engage form on the left panel.
  2. Select the WhatsApp Account icon, and here you can find all the messages for your WhatsApp account.
  3. Click on the desired message to see the preview of the message.
  4. Now you can reply to the messages with ease using Social Champ.

Note:

  1. Meta restricts free conversations to 1,000 WhatsApp messages per month (see About billing for your WhatsApp account). To increase the number of conversations, you’ll need to add a payment method to your WhatsApp account (see Add a credit card to your WhatsApp Business Platform account).
  2. User have to add payment method and get his business verified to reply to a conversation otherwise he will be able to receive messages but wont be able to reply.
  3. After 24 hr the user wont be able to continue conversing with the same person which means total conversation duration is 24 hrs.
